The President Donald Trump targets the "green cards" award program via the "Diversity Visa Lottery" after the New York attack that killed eight people yesterday, Tuesday (October 31st).
In a tweet in reaction to the attack in New York, Donald Trump recalls that the alleged perpetrator of the attack was awarded a green card, which gave him the permanent right to reside and work in the United States.
Trump announces in another Tweet that he has ordered "the (Department) Homeland Security to reinforce our already extreme verification program. Being politically correct is good but not for that, "he wrote.
As a reminder, the pick-up attack on a road in Manhattan, New York, left eight dead and eleven wounded, including five Argentines and a Belgian. Eight people died and another eleven were injured in what the mayor called a "terrorist" attack. Injured, the driver was stopped alive and his vital prognosis is not engaged.
