Dentists reveal the 9 worst horrors they have seen at work !!

Going to the dentist, it's not pleasant most of the time. But have you ever stopped to think about what they are experiencing on a daily basis? Here are 9 stories that could give nightmares to anyone.

1. The maggots

"A little boy jumped into the chair and was really excited to have his first appointment with the dentist. His parents explained to me that he seemed to rub a side of his mouth with his hands. When I looked inside his mouth, I noticed that his gums were very swollen - and I found maggots! After cleaning everything up, I taught him and his family appropriate dental care. "-Gary Glassman, D.D.S.

2. A garden between two teeth

"At the beginning of a root canal, I started to clean the root. Among the plaque and tartar, I found a kind of seed lodged in the gums and there seemed to be a small plant coming out of it. I asked the patient a few questions and then realized that it was a tomato seed from which a plant was growing. "-Glassman

3. When you try not to vomit in the patient's mouth

"An elderly woman came to have her denture repaired, dentures had to be removed and cleaned every day, and it was clear that she had not removed hers for months. My dental assistant had to apologize for vomiting. "-Anonymous

4. Why dentists insist on dental floss

"Most of my stories of dental horror come from a simple category: neglect, for example, tartar and plaque build-up [can be] so severe that it forms a bridge between the teeth (known name of calculation bridge). the teeth fall just because, once the accumulation has been removed, there was nothing to keep them in place. "-Joel Smith, D.D.S.

5. Oops

"When I did a routine extraction, my patient's jaw broke in two and she had to have her jaw immobilized by a wire for two months." -Anonymous

6. Do not swallow

"One of my patients had an abscess so large that it covered the entire half of his jaw, another patient had one that had to be emptied and his mouth was flooded with pus when I punctured it. one of the most disgusting experiences of my life. "-Dr. Stephanie, D.D.S.

7. When there's nothing left to save

"A patient opened his mouth and all that remained of his teeth were black bumps." -Dr. Stéphanie

8. To your wishes

"I've seen a lot in twenty years as a dentist, but the worst case of periodontal disease I've ever seen was a woman whose teeth were held in place by her calculating bridge. Once I removed the tartar and plaque, her teeth hung practically and literally moved when she was breathing. A good sneeze and his front teeth would have been of ancient history. "-Anonymous

9. Living beard

"On my first day of work as a dental assistant, I was helping with a fill when I spotted an ant in our patient's mouth, and the dentist and I soon realized that the patient's beard was full of insects. It took me all to act as if everything was normal. "-Anonymous
