Tottenham punishes Real Madrid but loses Alderweireld
On Wednesday night, Tottenham hosted Real Madrid, the two-time defending champion, in the legendary Wembley Stadium on behalf of the fourth round of the Champions League group stage. The English won the Spaniards (3-1). Jan Vertonghen delivered a very solid performance, Toby Alderweireld came out on a thigh injury during the first period. Mousa Dembélé went up in the 66th minute of the game. The Spurs are qualified for the next round, the Madrilenians receive their first group defeat since 2012.

For Real Madrid's premiere at Wembley, Tottenham started on the floor and put pressure on the Madrid defense. Unfortunately for the Londoners and for the Red Devils, Toby Alderweireld, injured, was forced to give up his place in the 24th minute.
